Welcome to Target: 2006. This site will, eventually, become a comprehensive guide to the original Transformers comics published by Marvel back in the 1980s and 1990s. In case you don't know, in the 1980s, a toy company called Hasbro started selling toy robots that transformed into cars, planes, animals, and even cassette players. These Transformers starred in a cartoon series and, most importantly, two comic series - one published on either side of the Atlantic Ocean. This site brings together lots of information about those comics and the characters featured in them.
The site contains the following projects:
Reviews: Reviews of each individual issue of both the UK and the US comic. These reviews have the unique feature of not only listing which characters appear, but where in their personal timelines the story takes place, as well as factual information, a synopsis of the story, the best and worst moments and dialogue, stuff that just doesn't make sense, and lots more.
Chronology Project: If you're a comic fan, you may have stumbled across the Marvel Chronology Project or the DC Chronology Project. These are attempts to come up with an individual chronology for every significant character within the Marvel and DC Universes respectively. I though it'd be fun to do this for the Transformers. I'm compliling it on an issue by issue basis.
History of the Transformers: A complete history of the Transformers as shown in the Marvel continuity. This does not reference any Transformers stories outside the Marvel comics because, as any knowledgeable Transfan will tell you, they are in different continuities.
Transformers Universe: Most Transfans are familiar with the Transformers Universe profiles that were published for those Transformers from the first few years of the franchise. This section takes those profiles together with other available information about the characters to create a "deluxe" series of profiles.
Essays: The essays are my musings on various subjects within the continuity of the comic. Basically, when there's an issue that needs an in-depth study to explain it, it can be found in this section.
